Trail Blazers: Bringing Ballarat’s women leaders together

-Starts October 15, 2024-

Capped at six participants. Registrations close 7 October 2024.

What is Trail Blazers and who is it for?

Trail Blazers is a group coaching program for smart female leaders in Ballarat who:

  • Are grappling with complexity and change (disruptive tech, hybrid work modes, staff wellbeing, diversity and politics, not to mention families)

  • Are keen to build their network of purpose-driven local women leaders for ideas, insights, exploration, connection and support.

  • Are responsible for others - organisations, teams and families - and feel that responsibility acutely.

  • Love to learn and the challenge of thinking differently!

  • Know that by working collectively and facing into today’s challenges, we can smooth the path for the women who follow.

Trail Blazers is not training

It’s group coaching and peer learning: an opportunity to discuss your experiences, share insights, and support one another in applying new concepts. We’ll explore models, mindsets, strategies and tools for navigating ourselves and our people through ambiguity and challenge, building the adaptability and agility to thrive.

Each conversation begins with a brief exploration of cutting-edge leadership topics that we use as the launching point to workshop current challenges. Topics include:

  1. Understanding contemporary leadership practice and navigating a world of change and flux

  2. Embracing purpose-driven leadership and its role in creating positive community change

  3. Building inclusive networks and alliances

We’re not limited to these. The program is agile and we will add, modify and alter topics according to the needs and interests of the group as they arise through conversation and exploration.

Program Leader, workplace psychologist Ellen Jackson is connected to a fantastic network of contemporary leadership theorists and practitioners, Australia-wide, and she draws on their knowledge, expertise and research in her facilitation and teaching. She has taught the Developing Leaders program within Federation University’s MBA Program and is currently teaching within the Leadership and Place subject of the University of Tasmania’s Executive MBA Program. She is also a University-trained and experienced coaching psychologist and facilitator.

*The Stealth Agenda🤫

We have many incredible women in our town who work for men. Men are still the vast majority of our CEOs and in most senior roles. This has to change for our city to thrive. You may not aspire to be a CEO yourself (but maybe you do) - either way you are an important positive influence on the women around you. Building the capability of our female leaders helps to build a new generation of women who will lead our city into the future.

Are you ready to join Ballarat’s women in leading with purpose?

Capped at six participants. Registrations close 7 October or when we’ve filled all places.
